IMPORTANTI: Reviżjoni tal-attivitajiet tal-amministraturi

Insellmilkom.

  1. Roderick Mallia (burokrata, amministratur)

Dan l-utent ħa jiġi avżat dalwaqt, biex jibdew diskussjoni bejn il-membri tal-komunità, jekk irid iżomm id-drittijiet li għandu jew xi wħud minnhom. Jekk ma jwiġibx l-istewards ineħħulu d-drittijiet avvanzati.

Però, jekk intom bħala komunità tixtiequ toħolqu proċedura għalikom għar-reviżjoni tal-inattività li tissossitwixxi dik globali, jew tridu tieħdu deċiżjoni differenti dwar dawn l-utenti inattivi li għandhom xi drittijiet jew diġà għandkom proċedura u aħna ma nafux biha, infurmaw l-istewards fuq Meta-Wiki biex inkunu nafu kif nipproċedu bir-reviżjoni tad-drittijiet fuq il-wiki tagħkom. Inspire Campaign: Improving diversity, improving content

This March, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas for improving gender diversity on Wikimedia projects. Less than 20% of Wikimedia contributors are women, and many important topics are still missing in our content. We invite all Wikimedians to participate. If you have an idea that could help address this problem, please get involved today! The campaign runs until March 31.

All proposals are welcome - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive, positive feedback on ideas is appreciated, and collaboration is encouraged - your skills and experience may help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign and help this project better represent the world’s knowledge!

Feedback request: VisualEditor's special character inserter

I apologize for writing in English. Please translate this message so that all of your editors can read it. Thank you!

Hi everybody, my name is Erica, and I am a Community Liaison at the Wikimedia Foundation. I'm writing to you because the Editing team at WMF wants to know what you think about VisualEditor and its new ⧼visualeditor-specialcharacterinspector-title⧽ tool. This change will affect all users on about 50 Wikipedias, including your Wikipedia. Many editors at these Wikipedias need a special character tool to be able to write articles correctly, which is why we are asking you now.

The new special character inserter tool is available in VisualEditor now. Admins at your wiki can change the contents by following the directions at mediawiki.org.

New design for the special character inserter. The red arrow points to the button for the tool, which is marked with Ω (omega).

To test the ⧼visualeditor-specialcharacterinspector-title⧽ tool, please:

  1. Opt-in to VisualEditor by going to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-betafeatures and choosing "VisualEditor". Save your preferences.
  2. Edit any article or your user page in VisualEditor by clicking on the new "Immodifika" tab at the top of the page. See the mw:Help:VisualEditor/User guide for information on how to use VisualEditor.
  3. Please post your comments and the language(s) that you tested at the feedback thread on Mediawiki.org. The developers would like to know what you think about this new design. It is important that they hear from as many editors as possible. You may leave your comments in any language.

When the special character tool has been refined a little more based on your thoughts, we will offer VisualEditor by default to all editors at this wiki. If you want to help prepare, please read the advice on mediawiki.org.

Thank you, Elitre (WMF) (talk) 18:33, 12 Marzu 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

VisualEditor coming to this wiki

Hello again. Please excuse the English. I would be grateful if you can translate this message!

VisualEditor is coming to all editors at this Wikipedia on Monday, March 30th. VisualEditor is software that allows people to edit articles without needing to learn wikitext code (like typing [[ to start a link). You don't have to wait until the deployment to test it; you can test VisualEditor right now. To turn it on, select "Beta" in your preferences. Choose "VisualEditor" and click save.

Now, when you press the "Immodifika" button to edit an article, you will get the new VisualEditor software. To use the wikitext editor, you can press "Immodifika s-sors". (After the deployment, everyone will automatically have the option to use either VisualEditor or the current wikitext editor.) For more information about how to use VisualEditor, see mw:Help:VisualEditor/User guide.

More information about preparing for VisualEditor is posted here.

  • It's easier to add templates if you've added TemplateData instructions to them.
  • Please help translate the pages about VisualEditor here and on MediaWiki.org, and its user interface. See VisualEditor TranslationCentral for general information. To translate the user guide, go to the MediaWiki.org page, and select "Ittraduċi din il-paġna". Your language should be available from the drop-down menu on the right. Once you've done this, you'll see the document in English side by side with any translation work already done in your language. You can add new translations or change old translations. To translate the user interface, you need to create an account at translatewiki.net. Contact me personally if you need help with that.
  • We need your help to improve the software! Please let us know if you find any problems. You can report issues in Phabricator, the new bug tracking system or on the central feedback page on MediaWiki.org. If you notice major issues affecting your project, please leave a note on my talk page. If it's an emergency (like an unexpected bug causing widespread problems), reach out to James Forrester, the Product Manager, at jforrester@wikimedia.org or on IRC in the #mediawiki-visualeditor channel.

Thank you, and happy editing! --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 19:38, 19 Marzu 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

VisualEditor now active here

Click this icon while in VisualEditor for a link to the User Guide.

Hello again (and again, apologies for using English on this page. Please do translate my message, if you can!).

As some of you have noticed, this Wikipedia now has VisualEditor (VisualEditor or "VE") enabled for all users. There are now two tabs for editing: "Immodifika" and "Immodifika s-sors". Click "Immodifika" to use VisualEditor. Click "Immodifika s-sors" to edit using wikitext markup.

All edits using VisualEditor will be tagged with "Tag:VisualEditor" in recent changes, watchlists, and page histories. To access the User Guide for VisualEditor, click on the "(?)" icon in VisualEditor's toolbar. If you wish to disable VisualEditor, this can be done under "Editing" in your preferences.

Please report any software "bugs" or errors you find at MediaWiki’s VisualEditor Feedback page. Translations for the user interface and its help guide are still needed: you can learn how to support your community with this and other tasks at this instructions page. Please contact me if you need further help though. Happy editing, User:Elitre (WMF) (talk) 15:09, 30 Marzu 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

Stewards confirmation rules

Hello, I made a proposal on Meta to change the rules for the steward confirmations. Currently consensus to remove is required for a steward to lose his status, however I think it's fairer to the community if every steward needed the consensus to keep. As this is an issue that affects all WMF wikis, I'm sending this notification to let people know & be able to participate. Best regards, --MF-W 16:13, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

VisualEditor News #2—2015

19:48, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

This is a message from the 2015 Wikimedia Foundation Elections Committee. Translations are available.

Greetings,

I am pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 Wikimedia Foundation Elections. This year the Board and the FDC Staff are looking for a diverse set of candidates from regions and projects that are traditionally under-represented on the board and in the movement as well as candidates with experience in technology, product or finance. To this end they have published letters describing what they think is needed and, recognizing that those who know the community the best are the community themselves, the election committee is accepting nominations for community members you think should run and will reach out to those nominated to provide them with information about the job and the election process.

This year, elections are being held for the following roles:

Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the decision-making body that is ultimately responsible for the long term sustainability of the Foundation, so we value wide input into its selection. There are three positions being filled. More information about this role can be found at the board elections page.

Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC)
The Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) makes recommendations about how to allocate Wikimedia movement funds to eligible entities. There are five positions being filled. More information about this role can be found at the FDC elections page.

Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) Ombud
The FDC Ombud receives complaints and feedback about the FDC process, investigates complaints at the request of the Board of Trustees, and summarizes the investigations and feedback for the Board of Trustees on an annual basis. One position is being filled. More information about this role can be found at the FDC Ombudsperson elections page.

The candidacy submission phase lasts from 00:00 UTC April 20 to 23:59 UTC May 5 for the Board and from 00:00 UTCApril 20 to 23:59 UTC April 30 for the FDC and FDC Ombudsperson. This year, we are accepting both self-nominations and nominations of others. More information on this election and the nomination process can be found on the 2015 Wikimedia elections page on Meta-Wiki.

Please feel free to post a note about the election on your project's village pump. Any questions related to the election can be posted on the talk page on Meta, or sent to the election committee's mailing list, board-elections -at- wikimedia.org

Pywikibot compat will no longer be supported - Please migrate to pywikibot core

Sorry for English, I hope someone translates this.
Pywikibot (then "Pywikipediabot") was started back in 2002. In 2007 a new branch (formerly known as "rewrite", now called "core") was started from scratch using the MediaWiki API. The developers of Pywikibot have decided to stop supporting the compat version of Pywikibot due to bad performance and architectural errors that make it hard to update, compared to core. If you are using pywikibot compat it is likely your code will break due to upcoming MediaWiki API changes (e.g. T101524). It is highly recommended you migrate to the core framework. There is a migration guide, and please contact us if you have any problem.

There is an upcoming MediaWiki API breaking change that compat will not be updated for. If your bot's name is in this list, your bot will most likely break.

Thank you,
The Pywikibot development team, 19:30, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

Two weeks to save Freedom of Panorama in Europe

The current situation of freedom of panorama in the countries of Europe.
The current report text would turn the map red or yellow for all EU countries.      OK, including works of art      OK for buildings only      OK for non-commercial use only      Not OK      Unknown

Now photos of the European Parliament are not allowed to be on Wikipedia...

...as well is pictures of the Belgian national monument the Atomium, but then...

also London Eye (England), ...

...also Rotterdam Central trainstation (Netherlands), ...

...also El Hemisférico (Valencia, Spain) and many more...
Feel free to translate this message into Maltese.

Hi all,

What is going on?

In the European Parliament a proposal (amendment) has been submitted to limit the Freedom of Panorama in Europe. The proposal is part of a larger plan to harmonize the copyright law in the various countries of the European Union.
If this proposal is adopted and implemented, it will mean that users on Wikipedia are no longer allowed to upload photographs of modern buildings or public works of art and use them in Wikipedia.
Even if freedom of panorama is allowed only for non-commercial purposes, this is an issue for Wikipedia. The current license under what we write Wikipedia, CC-BY-SA, is not compatible with non-commercial licenses, as they would restrict the re-use of the content.

Freedom of panorama?

Photos of modern buildings and public art currently may be uploaded on Commons / Wikipedia and used in articles, only if those pictures were taken in a country that currently has freedom of panorama (FoP), at this moment 16 of the 28 EU countries.
  • EU countries with freedom of panorama: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark*, Finland*, Germany, Ireland, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom. (* = only for buildings)
  • EU countries without freedom of panorama: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Romania, and Slovenia.
In countries without freedom of panorama, the creator of a creative work (permanently placed in the public space, like buildings, public art, etc.) needs to authorize the release of the photo, also if you have taken the photo yourself.

Which proposal involved?

It concerns amendment AM421 proposed by Cavada.

When is the vote on this amendment?

Thursday 9 July.

Can we do something against it?

Yes! By making known what impact this amendment has to Wikipedia and what damage it can cause to Wikipedia. In recent years it has come to our attention that many politicians do not even know that it is forbidden to publish on their website a photo of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, without the prior permission of the architect. So in the first place creating awareness is important.
Therefore a CentralNotice banner is prepared and a landing page. If you like, you can create a landing page, just like sv:Wikipedia:Panoramafrihet or de:Wikipedia:Initiative für die Panoramafreiheit.

What can I do?

  • Send an e-mail to one or more Members of the European Parliament from your country/area (list of members on Wikipedia and list of the members on the site of the European Parliament (on the page of each member is the e-mail address linked)).
  • Send a tweet to one or more Members of the European Parliament from your country/area (or re-tweet) in your language. Ask them for example if they really want Wikipedia to be backed-out or stripped of thousands of images. Or send a tweet to political groups in the parliament or a general tweet about the subject. Examples: 1, 2, 3.

Where is the coordination?

Commons:Freedom of Panorama 2015
Here, press releases, media reports, and more matters can be reported / added / suggested.
Feedback for the suggested banner text and landing page can be provided here: Commons:Freedom of Panorama 2015/Proposed messages.

Where can I read more information?

Read the article in the Signpost at: Three weeks to save freedom of panorama in Europe

Feel free to translate this message into Maltese. Thanks! Romaine (d) 10:25, 22 Ġunju 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

PS: Suggestion: create an article about the subject of Freedom of Panorama in Maltese. Romaine (d) 10:25, 22 Ġunju 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

Status update

Hello all! Thank you all for your attention to this subject. For my colleagues in Brussels (Dimi and Karl) I coordinate the international banner and the landing pages.

  • Past Thursday we had a meeting with WMF to evaluate the political situation in Brussels and to determine if setting up a banner today would be effective. In these two weeks there are two critical points in the political process to get to a text that is safe for Wikipedia: before 1 July an MEP need to take action to get the text changed with sufficient support from other MEPs, and on 9 July the plenary voting in the European Parliament. We determined Thursday that as a result of all our actions Wikimedia wide, we have generated enough attention to get the first step done. Congratulations! But this was the small step, the large one is the plenary voting.
  • The question we asked ourselves is if we should already show a banner today. A banner on top of every Wikipedia page is a very powerful and sensitive instrument we should be carefully in using it, in timing and wording, certainly if it concerns a subject in the field of advocacy. Also it should be used as last resort. As said, we have arranged enough attention for point one. We also consider two weeks before the voting as too long, because when the banner is seen this week, it likely will be forgotten two weeks later. Therefore we consider it better to start with the banner on 2 July, after assessing how the situation has developed.
  • We advice you not to set up a banner in this week already, but this is an advice. If your local community decides otherwise, this will be respected. We recommend a strong European action at the same time together.
  • The international landing page about this issue is ready at: Freedom of Panorama in Europe in 2015. It would be welcome to translate this page to Maltese on a page on the Maltese Wikipedia to show that (also) this Wikipedia wants the proposal be changed. (Please add your page in the item Q20200822 on Wikidata.)
  • The page with an overview of the Members of the European Parliament (MEP) in Malta is (also) at Freedom of Panorama in Europe in 2015/Contact your MEP/MT. There you can easily find an MEP, his/her e-mail and Twitter-account.
  • If we set up a banner on 2 July, we like to set up a CentralNotice banner also for Malta (with approval of WMF), depending on how the politics evolve. For this banner translations are needed. If you want to translate the texts of the banner from English into Maltese, add your name, language and how we can reach you at m:Talk:Freedom of Panorama in Europe in 2015/Banner and we will let you know when you can translate.

What is the plan?

  • We will asses the situation on 2 July, then we will set up a banner that day for multiple countries. This gives us also more time to get all the translations in the various European languages.
  • We have asked the Wikimedia Foundation to come with an official statement. They have indicated that they will work on this and will come with an official statement and/or blog post on 2 July.
  • But in the mean while just waiting? - No!
    • Send a personal e-mail to an MEP in your country/area. If you send an e-mail to an MEP, please write it in your own language in your own words. Sending a the same identical message to multiple MEPs, they will notice that and then it does not work any more. See: Freedom of Panorama in Europe in 2015/Contact your MEP/MT. You can link to: http://meta.wikipedia/wiki/saveFoP
    • Send a tweet to an MEP, make it as personal as possible. Hashtag for the action is #saveFoP
    • Write together a press release or an open letter from the community (like on de-wiki)

Let's do this! Thank you for all the work!! Romaine (d) 11:00, 27 Ġunju 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

Status update 3 July 2015

It is going fast the past 24 hours and before. Therefore this update below, written bij my colleague Dimi_z who is for the Wikimedia movement following the political developments in the EU in the past weeks and years:

1. We have managed to find enough MEPs from various groups to file a positive amendment affirming Freedom of Panorama. The signatures were collected with the help of mainly the Dutch, German and Estonian ALDE members.
2. As a result of the big pressure we exercised and the fact that his own group publicly opposed him on this, Mr. Cavada has now called everyone in the European Parliament to vote to delete his wording, but also to oppose the amendment, as a compromise. It looks like there is a solid majority for this compromise.
3. Delegations form the second largest group, the S&D, have taken public positions against the Cavada text. They have however also let us know, that they wouldn't appreciate being cornered into voting for new (ALDE) amendment. The reasons they cite are mainly of procedural nature.
4. It would take a lot of pressure to get the positive amendment through. Such an aggressive campaign pushing for the absolute maximum this early on in the legislative process could, I am afraid, hurt our standing. Especially banners are only effective if they are used conservatively and there is an imminent threat. This threat is not given any longer, which we should all congratulate ourselves for. This is something we achieved! I want to personally thank each and every single one of the hundreds of people who worked on this.
5. We can still push for the positive amendment by ALDE! We can do this by writing and calling our MEPs personally and ask them to vote for it. We can also do this by joining the petition, which will ask all its signatories to to do the same.
6. What we can and should do now is invest in the contacts we established with MEPs and their assistants. Thank the ones who answered and promised to help! Invite them to a Wikipedia meet-up! Offer you expertise! Ask them to help you with FoP on the national level if you have none!
7. Maintaining contacts is also important, as the copyright reform dossier will come to the European Parliament sometime next year. If we make friends now, it will make our lives much easier next time around.
8. The vote on 9 July will go down as follows: First the positive amendment by ALDE will be voted on, then after that the "split" (meaning deletion) of the FoP paragraph. If the positive amendment passes, we would need the deletion to be rejected. If the positive amendment is rejected, we need the deletion to get a majority.

If you need more information or if you have questions, you can ask them through our helpline.

Thank you so much for all the work done! We have made our voice heard, with success! :-) Romaine (d) 01:18, 3 Lulju 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

PS: I will try to keep you informed on this page about future developments. Romaine (d) 01:18, 3 Lulju 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

Voting: outcomes

Today the European Parliament voted about the copyright report, including the subject Freedom of Panorama.

  • The negative text by Cavada (Freedom of Panorama only non-commercial in whole EU) was dropped by 502 to 40.
  • The positive text by Schaake (full Freedom of Panorama in whole EU) didn't pass by 228 to 303.
  • The report as a whole was accepted with 445 to 65 with 32 abstentions.

Thanks everyone, we almost manage to achieve a full swing, which is a very tough feat to get done in 3 weeks.

What is next?
Autumn 2015: European Commission planned proposal on a renewed EU Directive.

Thank your MEPs and try to keep in touch with them. Romaine (d) 14:31, 9 Lulju 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

Please join the 2nd edition of the VisualEditor Translathon

Hello!

I'm pleased to announce the 2nd edition of the VisualEditor Translathon.

It is a translation rally, focused on interface messages and help pages related to VisualEditor. In order to participate, you need to sign up on the Translathon page on TranslateWiki.

The top 3 contributors will each win a Wikipedia t-shirt of their choice from the Wikipedia store[1]. Translations made between July 15th and July 19th (CDT time zone) qualify[2].

If you are at Wikimania Mexico this year, you are also welcome to join a related sprint during the hackathon in Workplace 1 - Don Américo, Thursday 16 July at 4pm (CDT) at the conference venue, so you can meet other fellow translators and get support if you need some.

Interface messages have the priority. You will need to create an account at translatewiki.net in order to work on them, if you don't have one. It is recommended to create the account ASAP, so that it can be confirmed in time.

You can also help translate documentation pages about VisualEditor on mediawiki.org. You can use your Wikipedia account to work there.

You will find instructions, links and other details on the Translathon page.

Thanks for your attention, and happy translating!

Proposal to create PNG thumbnails of static GIF images

The thumbnail of this gif is of really bad quality.

How a PNG thumb of this GIF would look like

There is a proposal at the Commons Village Pump requesting feedback about the thumbnails of static GIF images: It states that static GIF files should have their thumbnails created in PNG. The advantages of PNG over GIF would be visible especially with GIF images using an alpha channel. (compare the thumbnails on the side)

This change would affect all wikis, so if you support/oppose or want to give general feedback/concerns, please post them to the proposal page. Thank you. --McZusatz (talk) & MediaWiki message delivery (d) 05:08, 24 Lulju 2015 (UTC)[wieġeb]

What does a Healthy Community look like to you?

Hi,
The Community Engagement department at the Wikimedia Foundation has launched a new learning campaign. The WMF wants to record community impressions about what makes a healthy online community. Share your views and/or create a drawing and take a chance to win a Wikimania 2016 scholarship! Join the WMF as we begin a conversation about Community Health. Contribute a drawing or answer the questions on the campaign's page.

Why get involved?

The world is changing. The way we relate to knowledge is transforming. As the next billion people come online, the Wikimedia movement is working to bring more users on the wiki projects. The way we interact and collaborate online are key to building sustainable projects. How accessible are Wikimedia projects to newcomers today? Are we helping each other learn?
Share your views on this matter that affects us all!
We invite everyone to take part in this learning campaign. Wikimedia Foundation will distribute one Wikimania Scholarship 2016 among those participants who are eligible.

Happy editing!

Wikidata: Access to data from arbitrary items is coming

(Sorry for writing in English)

When using data from Wikidata on Wikipedia and other sister projects, there is currently a limitation in place that hinders some use cases: data can only be accessed from the corresponding item. So, for example, the Wikipedia article about Berlin can only get data from the Wikidata item about Berlin but not from the item about Germany. This had technical reasons. We are now removing this limitation. It is already done for many projects. Your project is one of the next ones. We will roll out this feature here on August 12.

We invite you to play around with this new feature if you are one of the people who have been waiting for this for a long time. If you have technical issues/questions with this you can come to d:Wikidata:Contact the development team.

A note of caution: Please be careful with how many items you use for a single page. If it is too many pages, loading might get slow. We will have to see how the feature behaves in production to see where we need to tweak and how.

How to use it, once it is enabled:

Introducing the Wikimedia public policy site

Hi all,

We are excited to introduce a new Wikimedia Public Policy site. The site includes resources and position statements on access, copyright, censorship, intermediary liability, and privacy. The site explains how good public policy supports the Wikimedia projects, editors, and mission.

Visit the public policy portal: https://policy.wikimedia.org/

Please help translate the statements on Meta Wiki. You can read more on the Wikimedia blog.

Thanks,

Wikimania 2016 scholarships ambassadors needed

Hello! Wikimania 2016 scholarships will soon be open; by the end of the week we'll form the committee and we need your help, see Scholarship committee for details.

If you want to carefully review nearly a thousand applications in January, you might be a perfect committee member. Otherwise, you can volunteer as "ambassador": you will observe all the committee activities, ensure that people from your language or project manage to apply for a scholarship, translate scholarship applications written in your language to English and so on. Ambassadors are allowed to ask for a scholarship, unlike committee members.

Harassment consultation

Please help translate to your language

The Community Advocacy team the Wikimedia Foundation has opened a consultation on the topic of harassment on Meta. The consultation period is intended to run for one month from today, November 16, and end on December 17. Please share your thoughts there on harassment-related issues facing our communities and potential solutions. (Note: this consultation is not intended to evaluate specific cases of harassment, but rather to discuss the problem of harassment itself.)

Regards, Community Advocacy, Wikimedia Foundation

This is a message regarding the proposed 2015 Free Bassel banner. Translations are available.

Hi everyone,

This is to inform all Wikimedia contributors that a straw poll seeking your involvement has just been started on Meta-Wiki.

As some of your might be aware, a small group of Wikimedia volunteers have proposed a banner campaign informing Wikipedia readers about the urgent situation of our fellow Wikipedian, open source software developer and Creative Commons activist, Bassel Khartabil. An exemplary banner and an explanatory page have now been prepared, and translated into about half a dozen languages by volunteer translators.

We are seeking your involvement to decide if the global Wikimedia community approves starting a banner campaign asking Wikipedia readers to call on the Syrian government to release Bassel from prison. We understand that a campaign like this would be unprecedented in Wikipedia's history, which is why we're seeking the widest possible consensus among the community.

Given Bassel's urgent situation and the resulting tight schedule, we ask everyone to get involved with the poll and the discussion to the widest possible extent, and to promote it among your communities as soon as possible.

(Apologies for writing in English; please kindly translate this message into your own language.)

Thank you for your participation!

As many of you know, January 15 is Wikipedia’s 15th Birthday!

People around the world are getting involved in the celebration and have started adding their events on Meta Page. While we are celebrating Wikipedia's birthday, we hope that all projects and affiliates will be able to utilize this celebration to raise awareness of our community's efforts.

Haven’t started planning? Don’t worry, there’s lots of ways to get involved. Here are some ideas:

Everything is linked on the Wikipedia 15 Meta page. You’ll find a set of ten data visualization works that you can show at your events, and a list of all the Wikipedia 15 logos that community members have already designed.

If you have any questions, please contact Zachary McCune or Joe Sutherland.

Thanks and Happy nearly Wikipedia 15!
