I am an architect and civil engineer with a specialisation in structural engineering. Since 1996 I have mostly worked as a construction project manager on large urban projects and infrastructural works. In 2015 I graduated with distinction with a Master's in Knowledge-Based Entrepreneurship.

My research interests have followed my work focuses on quality control & materials engineering, waste management recycling methodologies, and micro-plastic capture and reuse.

Since 2007 I have also embarked on a social study of the population structure of the Maltese Islands, analysing the growth of each town and village through the mapping of the information available in ecclesiastical and civil birth, marriage, and death registers which have been available since the mid-sixteenth century. My focus in this study is to build a database that may provide data handles for researchers in the fields of genetic sicknesses possibly resulting from a degree of inbreeding due to the perceived insularity of the Maltese native population through the ages.
